Two University Signature Guitars Auctioned Online For Scholarship Benefit

UNA teams with DHR Music Experience and Benedetto Guitars FLORENCE, Ala. - The University of North Alabama went live this morning with an online auction of two custom-made UNA signature guitars. All proceeds will benefit the UNA Commercial Music Endowed Scholarship and the Brian Vick/Jonathan Parks/Michael McCarthy Scholarship. The auction is taking place at fg9.web-sitemap.39680a.com/guitars. Each of the guitars will bear the official UNA secondary logo in a mother-of-pearl inlay. One of the guitars will be plumburst, and the other honey blonde. UNA is teaming with DHR Music Experience and Benedetto Guitars to offer the guitars. DHR, one of the world's leading guitar distributors and a premier dealer of left-handed guitars, is represented by Dillon Hodges, a UNA sophomore and one of the world's leading flat-picking guitarists. Hodges also endorses Benedetto archtop guitars and electric guitars. The auction winners will be announced at a special benefit concert with Mac McAnally Nov. 12. The online auction site also offers a photo gallery of the guitars' production progress.
